Advantageous – IR heaters bring efficient cosy warmth

Welcome to the third issue of our Trotec guide regarding ‘Infrared radiant heaters for your patio’. Today, we will discuss the other advantages that IR heaters can providebesides as a supplier of cosy heat. By the way, if you missed the first two guide blogs, which were about the basics of IR heaters, no problem: Get smart later – just click on the corresponding links in the overview shown below!

Whether a heating system is operated with gas, oil or district heating – considerable costs are always involved. Even when it comes to alternative heating systems such as wood, coal or pellet heating systems, both the costs and the start-up time are considerable. In contrast, you only switch on the infrared heater when you currently demand heat. And it heats in a flash because the heater does not need a warm-up phase. And thanks to their well-thought-out construction, infrared patio heaters produce extremely efficient heat. Without losing heating power to the air, the IR heater namely converts up to 90% of the energy into heat.

IR heaters deliver selective and intense cosy warmth

While in a hot air blower, for example, the generated heat disappears quickly again, a heater heats the objects in its surroundings. This allows the heat to be stored and emitted for longer periods of time. The heating effect sets in quickly and can be utilised intensively and selectively. All Trotec IR heaters work without stirring up dust and are clean, silent and odourless when in use and are universally applicable as well. And since the heat is emitted directly to the people around it, radiant heaters are also an environmentally friendly, energy-saving source of heat on the patio.

The fact that infrared heaters produce silent and odourless heat means that, unlike gas heaters, they can be used both indoors and out. There they can even be used at very low temperatures. This flexibility is reinforced by their low weight, which pays off when pedestal radiant heaters in particular are used. They can be moved around most easily and moved back and forth between their different locations.

Which infrared heater is the right one? Some examples from our IR series

From the IR-S series, the IR 1200 S – the energy efficient quartz heater

Like all IR S series infrared radiant heaters, the IR 1200 S is also distinguished by high energy efficiency. The device has two heating stages with a respective heat output of 600 watts and 1200 watts. The heater is conveniently operated via an integrated pull switch. The wall mounted infrared radiant heater can be adjusted 60°. The high-quality, splash-proof metal housing according to protection class IP24 is mounted in a flash thanks to its integrated mounting device.

From the IR series, the IR 2050 – Radiant heater with candlelight atmosphere

As with all IR series heaters, the innovative Low Glare short wave technology is used in the IR 2050 as well. The device stands out with a heat output of 2000 watts, which can be switched – conveniently via IR remote control – in 3 heating stages. The wall mounted IR heater can be adjusted 90°. The Low Glare short wave infrared tube reduces the bright red light, which up to now is often perceived as annoying, by up to 80 % – at the same 100 % heat intensity. The radiant heater features a slim, elegant design in an indestructible aluminium housing and is completely weather-proof according to IP65 – thanks to this robust construction, neither water, moisture nor dust can penetrate the IR 2050 housing.

From the IRD series of the IRD 1200Heat without light

IRD series heaters are so-called dark radiant heaters. This means that the devices emit pleasant heat, but no light – as does the IRD 1200.

The device not only looks dazzling in its aluminium design housing, but it is also equipped with the correspondingly convenient features: Outside, the powerful device with its heating output of 1200 watts successfully holds up against the cold, it can be switched – conveniently via IR remote control – in 3 heating stages so that the heater can cover a broad heating surface. The device also cuts a very fine figure outdoors because it is protected against dust, splash water and jets of water according to protection class IP55.

From the IRS-E series pedestal heater, the IRS 2000 Eportable and flexible

The IRS E series infrared heaters are pedestal radiant heaters and, as quartz heaters, are equipped with modern technology. Moreover, the IRS 2000 E black-silver infrared heater also sets visual accents and offers soothing instant heat in 3 stages (650 W, 1350 W, 2000 W) all year round without preheating and with up to 80% less light emission. Thanks to its slim construction, the IRS 2000 E can be flexibly installed anywhere outdoors. With protection class IP34, it is protected against splash water. The IRS 2000 E can be conveniently operated by remote control.
