NEW BP17 pyrometer – now in the familiar Trotec design with sensitivity levels of 1 °C, 3 °C and 5 °C!

The completely new designed BP17 pyrometer in the classic Trotec industrial look impresses with its clear design language and high functionality. In a range from -50 °C to +380 °C, the equally reliable and precise infrared thermometer allows for contactless surface temperature measurement. This way you can very easily check the functional reliability and energy efficiency of electrical devices, motors, cooling systems or walls and the like. And you don’t even have to get too close to hot or cold surfaces.

100% Trotec in terms of development, design and production – the new, high-quality BP17 stands out with its modern, ergonomic pistol design that makes it pleasant and effortless to handle. The infrared sensor of the surface thermometer delivers excellent measurement results within a large temperature range of -50 °C to +380 °C. What’s more, the measuring device score points with a setting for finely adjusting the tolerance range: You can choose between 1 °C, 3 °C and 5 °C. The best part is: If the measured temperature value lies outside the limit range of a reference temperature you have selected, then this is shown both by a change in colour in the display and acoustically by a beeping sound as well.

How it works

The BP17 pyrometer allows you to see directly and at any time whether your specified temperature range is being maintained – without having to pay attention to the exact values. The colour change in the display makes this possible. When the reference temperature is exceeded, the display lights up red, and blue when it falls below that value. If the current value is in the range of the threshold value, the display then lights up green.

The measuring device is equipped with a target laser that shows the centre point of the measuring spot (10:1 optical resolution). This way, as you are making a contactless surface measurement from a distance, you can be sure that you are also actually recording the current temperature of the measured object, not a value from the surroundings.

The large, back-lit display guarantees an excellent view of the measured values even in poor lighting conditions. The battery operated measuring device switches itself off automatically when not in use thus reducing its already low energy consumption. You can use the practical holster to carry the pyrometer conveniently and always at hand on your person.

Four of the numerous advantages that I particularly like:

  • Contactless surface temperature measuring from -50 °C to +380 °C
  • The acoustic and visual alarm when a preselectable temperature differential is not met/is exceeded
  • The adjustable sensitivity levels of OFF / 1 °C / 3 °C / 5 °C
  • The 10:1 measurement optics
