Yesterday was a very special day here at the Trotec Headquarters: The Trotec24 Online Shop turned 3! We took that as an opportunity to celebrate our shop – an ambitious project that was launched January 25, 2008.
When the decision to start selling our products online was made, there were many sceptics. People doubted that in our field of business, with the majority of our customers being business clients, online was really the way to go. And although the Trotec Group offers a broad range of highly specialized, individual product and service solutions which traditionally require a considerable amount of service and consulting, we have ventured that step.
Because we have always believed that we can add even more to the service you experience when purchasing our goods.
Three years later, this has become a proven fact. In only three years, the number of visitors in our online shop has almost doubled, so that now several million of internet users come to our site every year. And while the shop was initially designed as an additional service to our customers, it now contributes a substantial part to our company revenue. But the more important thing is that it allows us to interact with our customers in a completely new way. Nowadays, the customers demand a lot more information before they decide to purchase a product. In many cases, they find this information online, where they can compare prices and thereby easily find the products that best meet their expectations. The Trotec24 online shop gives them this opportunity, since it provides extensive product descriptions along with expressive pictures that give you a good idea of what you can expect. Of course, this offer is always complemented with the reliable offline service that our clients are accustomed to.
We have learned that, also in our industry, e-commerce has a great future, and that the Trotec24 shop was a huge step in the right direction. Of course, this is not the end, and so we keep giving our best to improve your shopping experience with us.
