You can discover their advantages yourself …

Good to know: What distinguishes modern infrared radiant heaters?

Immediately after being switched on, modern infrared radiant heaters, like those from Trotec, produce direct heat using infrared according to the natural solar radiation principle.  Unlike conventional heating devices, infrared rays do not heat the room air but solid materials and objects they are directed at – such as the wall, the floor or the ceiling. These store the heat for a longer period than air and then release it to the room in the form of secondary radiation. Infrared radiation immediately generates a pleasant feeling of warmth on the skin, for example.

Compared to a hot air blower, infrared radiant heaters are especially energy efficient because they convert a large part of the energy they use into direct heat. The intense heat is produced when it is needed and without the need for preheating – a clean way of heating, without generating noise, smells or dust, which makes it suitable for allergy sufferers as well. That’s why infrared radiant heaters are ideally suited for use in between seasons – and above all as a standby heating solution on covered terraces. Given that the devices are suited for being attached to a telescopic stand, as a mobile solution they can heat up a table group in your garden as well – provided an extension cable is available!

Infrared radiant heaters from our IR-S series

Because they are suitable for your individual requirements, Trotec can offer you the right infrared radiant heater for you – such as the practical all-rounders from our IR-S series. Depending on your requirements, these come with different heating capacities, splash protection ratings (IP protection classes) and devices that are not only suited for being mounted to walls or ceilings but to being  attached to telescopic stands as well – which makes them ideal as a mobile pedestal device either in your garden or for catering purposes.

Definitely on the terrace, but also in bathrooms, in wellness areas, over baby changing tables, at workbenches, in hobby cellars, in conservatories, underneath parasols or awnings, on uncovered terraces, in gastronomical settings, or in marquees and halls – the infrared radiant heaters from our IR-S series make a good impression.

Infrared radiant heaters from our IR series

The radiant heaters from our IR series employ the new, low-glare short-wave technology. Thanks to this innovation, the bright red light, which is often perceived as annoying, is significantly reduced by up to 80 % – while one hundred per cent of the heat intensity is maintained during the long lifetime of up to 5,000 hours. This is because the high-quality, low-glare, short-wave infrared tube generates a larger proportion of the infrared light coming from the invisible light spectrum and bundles the rays as well thanks to an innovative coating method that reduces scattering loss as well. The greatly reduced light radiation only affects your existing lighting concept very little. In fact, the infrared heat even provides a pleasant candlelight atmosphere.

No matter where the radiant heaters from our IR series are deployed – they stay waterproof. This is provided by their robust design, which boasts IP65 protection: no water, moisture or dust can enter their housing. The radiant heaters even withstand jets of water from all sides without any damage. The IR 2010 and the IR 2050 are ideally suited for uncovered balconies and terraces, since they are able to endure occasional rain showers with ease. At the same time, they can be optimally used wherever and whenever warmth is needed: in bathrooms, in wellness areas, over baby changing tables, at workbenches, in hobby cellars, in conservatories, underneath parasols or awnings, on uncovered terraces, in gastronomical settings, or in marquees and halls.

Dark radiant heaters from our IRD series

The dark radiant heaters from our IRD series are the ultimate in infrared radiant heater technology in technical terms, and work without emitting visible light. Instead of a tube, dark radiant heaters are equipped with a stainless steel heating coil enclosed in aluminium. Most of the radiation energy emitted lies in the mid- to long-wave infrared spectrum. Dark heaters are the preferred heating method whenever warmth is needed and the user would like to avoid being exposed to emitted light. Dark radiant heaters are also maintenance-free, since no lamps need to be replaced.

Our individual models, each made from anodised aluminium, are suited for use both in a gastronomical setting and in the upscale private setting. Their design is particularly distinguished by a pure and minimalistic elegance. The elongated shape is as smart as it is ingenious, so that the radiant heater is extremely neutral and can be mounted inconspicuously onto a wide variety of ceilings and walls. Infrared dark radiant heaters are ideally suited for wind-protected areas such as terraces, balconies and the outdoor areas of a gastronomical setting. The same is true for indoor areas such as indoor swimming pools, tents, conservatories and rooms that are only partially used.
