UV-fluorescent dyes of the Luminat series – the established UV locating ruptured pipes – Now in even more colours for even more possibilities.

Trotec Luminat is an aqueous dispersion that can be diluted with water, but does not metabolise and leaves practically no detectable traces in the visible wavelength range.

Only when exposed to UV radiation in the optimal wavelength range are the formaldehyde-free fluorescent pigments of this tracer stimulated to maximum fluorescence and become intensely luminous.

To ensure that users have the optimum UV fluorescent dye with the most suitable luminosity for every task, Trotec Luminate is now available in four luminous colours, in addition to the established Luminate Green version also as Luminate Red, Luminate Blue and Luminate Purple.

Luminat is particularly suitable for leak tests on water-bearing levels of flat roofs or for checking gullies and downpipes. The fluorescent substance can be detected and made visible at its exit points under UV light.

Trotec Luminat can also be used for non-destructive material testing (NDT) as well as for leak detection when capillary is not important and no visible traces of the UV tracer should remain.

Important: Luminat is not suitable as food colouring!

All the benefits at a glance

  • Proven UV tracer for broken pipe detection
  • No metabolisation – ideal for long-term examinations
  • Very intensive colour glow under UV-excitation
  • Colour-neutral application – leaves no visible discolouration on most surfaces
  • 100 % formaldehyde-free fluorescent dye made in Germany
  • Available in different colours – for every environmental condition and preference
