Save gas without freezing: Heating with the PAC-W 2600 SH and PAC-W 2650 SH wall-mounted air conditioners with heat pump technology

Heating with the air conditioner? What sounds contradictory at first is definitely possible with the wall-mounted air conditioners PAC-W 2600 SH and PAC-W 2650 SH. If you pay attention to a few basic things, you will also heat particularly effectively and even more cheaply than with gas.

With the current record temperatures, air conditioning is a real blessing. When the sun is blaring down outside, an air conditioner at home provides pleasant cooling and comfortable temperatures. Air conditioning systems such as the Trotec wall-mounted units PAC-W 2600 SH and PAC-W 2650 SH in energy-efficient class A (in cooling mode) or energy efficiency class A+ (heating mode) are particularly practical and can be used for additional heating in the cold season – and that comparatively economically.

How does heating work with PAC air conditioners?

Basically, there is a small heat pump in both air conditioners. In cooling mode, it transports the heat out of the room into the open air and releases it again via a heat exchanger. However, this principle also works the other way round. The heat is then sucked in from the outside and released as warm air indoors.

For a long time, this practical inverter technology was reserved for so-called split air conditioning systems. In other words, systems that consist of an indoor unit and an outdoor unit that has to be attached to the outside façade.

With the PAC-W 2600 SH and PAC-W 2650 SH, on the other hand, you don’t have to worry about any visual impairments of the house façade, as the devices work completely without an external unit. All you need is two small holes for the ventilation openings. What it doesn’t need are expensive specialist companies for installation. Since the devices work completely without an external unit, commissioning and installation is simple and can often be done by yourself.

Once mounted on the wall and adjusted, the air conditioning units PAC-W 2600 SH and PAC-W 2650 SH regulate the room temperature fully automatically. On hot summer days, the modern chest units cool down heated living rooms, bedrooms and offices measuring up to 34 m² or 85 m³ to pleasantly cool room temperatures. In the cool transitional period of autumn and in the cold winter, they provide a rapidly spreading warmth in the room with their powerful heating output. The energy required for this comes from the socket, i.e. From renewable energy sources such as air, water or the sun.

Equipped with the latest inverter technology, the pleasantly energy-efficient air conditioners directly combine four climate functions in their SlimLine housing, which is only 20cm deep, to create a pleasant indoor climate all year round.

  • Heating with energy-saving heat pump technology (heating output of up to 2.0 kW, energy efficiency class A+)
  • Cooling with the latest inverter technology (cooling output of up to 2.6 kW, energy efficiency class A)
  • Ventilation with 3 ventilation levels
  • Dehumidification with 1.2 l/h dehumidification capacity

How efficiently do the PAC air conditioners heat in autumn and winter?

How efficiently the PAC air conditioning units heat depends on the time of year and the outside temperatures. In the transitional period to the heating season, when the outside air is not yet too cold, the PAC air-conditioning units impress with a particularly high level of efficiency. The pas-powered main heating can remain switched off for a month longer.

Basically: the warmer it is outside, the less electrical energy is needed to heat the room. In a mild autumn/winter, electricity-powered heating with the conditioner can therefore be quite cheaper than heating with gas. Especially as it is currently unforeseeable how gas prices will develop in the coming months.

The wall-mounted air conditioners PAC-W 2600 SH and PAC-W 2650 SH are available in the Trotec shop at a special price starting from €1,199.95!
