NEW design radiant ceiling heater IR 2000 SC: industrially designed and with up to 2,000 W for the terrace, balcony or outdoor catering – finally available

Anyone lucky enough to call a balcony, terrace, or gazebo their own surely enjoys extending their living space into the outdoors, too. Once you have furnished your outdoor space with comfortable chairs, tables and benches and got your hands on a barbecue, you can start to enjoy the weather. But what about when it’s not so warm, but rather a bit cooler? Finally available, the design radiant ceiling heater IR 2000 SC can bring your outdoor spaces back up to summer temperatures at the touch of a button! The heater gives any outdoor space a modern flair in the industrial style of a cosy loft, thanks to its 360° reflective shade in matt aluminium.

The large 360° reflective shade (60.5 cm) of the design radiant ceiling heater IR 2000 SC will surround you with warmth by transforming areas of up to 10 m2 into temperate, summery spaces. The halogen heating coils of the ceiling heater are relatively glare-free and have three heating levels (650 W / 1,350 W / 2,000 W) to provide as much pleasant warmth as the outdoor temperatures and the atmosphere demand. The heating power is controlled conveniently and easily via the handy infrared remote control. Along with the remote control, the waterproof construction (IP34) of the heater, designed with extremely weather-resistant aluminium, makes this trendsetter suitable for roofed communal areas in outdoor catering – whether at a restaurant, cafe, bar or food truck.

Here’s how it works

The design radiant ceiling heater IR 2000 SC can be switched on and off simply at the touch of a button. On the underside, an operating indicator lamp signals whether the device is heating actively (green) or is on stand-by (red). The infrared tubes of the radiant heater are glare-free and not too bright even at the highest level; instead, the light emitted creates a pleasantly cosy atmosphere. According to the requirements of protection class IP34, the high-quality, silver-anodised aluminium housing is splash-proof and protected against damage by foreign matter. A protective grille also prevents direct contact with or damage to the heating elements. This is another reason why the heater is ideally suited for use in catering.

Using its 1.85 m long power cable with Schuko plug (CEE 7/7), the ceiling heater can easily be connected to the socket and comes with all the necessary parts for quick and safe ceiling mounting. Using the 50 cm long stainless steel chain included in the scope of delivery, the radiant ceiling heater, weighing only 3.0 kg, can be mounted on balcony and terrace roofs or tent scaffolding. The necessary accessories required for mounting are already included in the scope of delivery.

The IR 2000 SC’s halogen infrared tube generates heat according to the natural principle of solar radiation. And it is particularly energy-efficient, as a large part of the energy used is converted into direct heat. The infrared heat develops immediately after you have switched on the appliance via the on/off switch with operating control light. The heat distribution is silent and doesn’t have a fan whirling up dust, which allows those with asthma and allergy sufferers to breathe freely when close to the radiant heater.

Four of the many advantages I particularly like:

  • Infrared heat without preheating
  • high-quality halogen infrared tube
  • even heat distribution in all directions for up to 10 m²
  • 3 heating levels: 650 W / 1,350 W / 2,000 W
