CO₂ Air Quality Monitor BZ26: reliable monitoring of air quality using the ‘CO₂ traffic light’ and acoustic warning signal – can be used as a corona protection measure

With regard to airborne infection with corona viruses, timely ventilation in schools and kindergartens as well as in office and production environments is part of a functioning hygiene concept. But when do we need to ventilate? And how long should windows remain open? Because uncontrolled ventilation leads to a waste of energy and can be quite expensive, it is advisable to keep an eye on the most important air quality parameters for our well-being, such as the CO₂ concentration, the indoor temperature and the relative humidity with the CO₂ air quality monitor BZ26.

The CO2 level in the air is a good indicator of when a room needs to be ventilated by opening the windows. That’s why the CO₂ air quality monitor BZ26 offers you reliable monitoring of indoor air quality for improved health protection in, for example, classrooms, daycare centres, offices, waiting rooms and meeting rooms. The reliable measuring device precisely monitors the most important air quality parameters

  • CO2 concentration (measuring range: 400 to 5,000 ppm)
  • Indoor temperature (measuring range: -9.9 °C to 60 °C or 14.18 °F to 140 °F)
  • relative humidity (measuring range: 20 % r. F to 95 % r. F.)

and shows the measured values in colour-coded areas on its clearly legible and display that can be dimmed in three stages. A well-being indicator uses a smiley icon to provide easy-to-understand information as to whether the indoor climate is in the ideal, acceptable or critical range. You can also be alerted by a visual and acoustic signal when limit values are exceeded.

Here’s how it works

With the CO₂ air quality monitor BZ26 you can reliably keep an eye on the indoor air quality and enable controlled ventilation at the workplace, in the co-working space or wherever several people are in one room – without wasting heating energy. Because with the support of the BZ26, you only ventilate when it is really necessary and only for as long as it is needed.

You can also read the display of CO2 value, room temperature, humidity, date, day of the week and time simultaneously. The CO2 level is displayed with a coloured smiley symbol in traffic-light colours as a feel-good indicator. In addition, you can set the minimum and maximum value function for the CO2-, air temperature and air humidity value as well as the carbon dioxide alarm function with visual and acoustic warning signal for a freely definable CO2 limit value.

The measuring device can be operated both with mains power (USB cable supplied) and with the batteries ( 3 x type AAA alkaline, 1.5 V) that are also supplied. When operating the device via the USB connection, the BZ26 measures the CO2 content in the air fully automatically every 6 seconds. In battery operation, the ‘’DOWN’’ button must be pressed for the Co2value to be determined. A practical stand and an integrated wall bracket allow you to freely choose where to place the measuring device.

Four of the many advantages I particularly like:

  • the simultaneous display of air quality indicator (CO2 concentration), room temperature, humidity, time, date and well-being indicator
  • the well-being indicator display
  • defines the individual CO2 alarm limits – with visual and acoustic warning signal display
  • the alarm function with snooze button
