However, if the water content in the brake fluid increases by only 2-3%, the boiling point can drop to approximately 180\u00b0C. <em>\u201cThe brake fluid should be changed at the latest when it reaches this point as boiling brake fluid can result in a complete brake failure\u201d<\/em>, explains Steffen Mi\u00dfbach from T\u00dcV Rheinland.<\/p>\n<p>Regular testing of brake fluid and timely replacement is crucial to ensure the brake system functions correctly and maximum braking performance is available in an emergency.
