Infrared oil heaters possess a large-surface ceramic plate, which is heated up considerably from the inside by a flame in the combustion chamber. The hot plate then gives the heat off to the outside in the form of infrared radiation. This infrared radiation does not heat the air in the room but the objects it strikes. Especially in draughty areas, in which the hot air of oil-fired heaters was simply blown away, infrared radiation proves to be an effective heating alternative \u2013 comparable to the natural warming solar radiation principle.<\/p>\n
