A customer called us recently about a problem concerning the geothermal heating system in his newly-built home. He told us that there was a significant drop in pressure, and he was naturally keen to find the cause and have the problem remedied. In order to be able to pinpoint the leak, our engineers first had to inspect the pipe system under pressure. This allowed them to narrow down the area in which the leak or leaks were. The owners of a property were planning on transforming their flat roof into a green roof. But because some scaffolding had been erected on the roof during the building phase, there was a real possibility that the roof had been damaged while construction work was being carried out. In order to determine whether any damage had been done, the technician decided to use the smoke gas method to check the roof for any holes, cracks, fractures or fissures. Continue reading
